Dr. Melissa Walls, Director of the Great Lakes Hub for the Johns Hopkins Center for American Indian Health, examines the role of culture as a health promoting factor in AI/AN communities. She also conceptualizes dimensions of Indigenous culture most important to health promotion in AI/AN communities.
Melissa Walls, PhD, is the Director of the Great Lakes Hub for the Johns Hopkins Center for American Indian Health and Associate Professor of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is also an Associate Professor at the Department of Family Medicine and BioBehavioral Health at the University of Minnesota.
