We invite you to join Indian Country ECHO for a clinically focused Grand Rounds on “Using Open Evidence: A Free AI powered platform for evidence-based medical decision support”. In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to integrate the free OpenEvidence program into clinical care and physician workflows to improve patient outcomes and better support providers. Topics will include evidence-based decision support, staying informed on clinical guidelines, and streamlining administrative tasks such as prior authorization and insurance paperwork to help reduce physician burnout.

We’ll also highlight how OpenEvidence supports clinicians in rural and community settings by offering access to guideline-based answers, aiding triage and treatment decisions when specialist resources are limited, and minimizing administrative burden to maximize clinic time.

OpenEvidence enables clinicians to enter clinical questions or patient case details and receive point-of-care answers grounded in the latest guidelines and research, complete with references. Fully HIPAA-compliant and actively used across 10,000 hospitals and medical centers, OpenEvidence is trusted by more than 40% of U.S. physicians logging in daily. The platform delivers evidence and resources through partnerships with leading organizations such as the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), American Diabetes Association (ADA), American College of Cardiology (ACC), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)—helping ensure consistent, high-quality care across diverse practice environments, including rural communities.

Learning Objectives:

1. Demonstrate how to use OpenEvidence for evidence-based clinical decision making

Participants will learn how to enter clinical questions or patient case details into OpenEvidence and effectively access point-of-care answers supported by the latest research, guidelines, and direct references.

2. Identify strategies for integrating OpenEvidence into daily physician workflow to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden

Attendees will explore practical applications of OpenEvidence for streamlining tasks such as prior authorizations and insurance paperwork, with a focus on mitigating physician burnout.

3. Describe how OpenEvidence supports high-quality patient care in rural and community settings

Participants will be able to explain how instant access to guideline-based answers and decision support within OpenEvidence aids diagnosis, triage, and treatment—especially when specialist resources are limited.

CE will be available.
