Dr. Bethany Johnson is a board-certified pharmacist and currently serves as the Pharmacy Consultant for the National HIV/HCV/STI Program at Indian Health Service (IHS) Headquarters. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, based in Yukon, Oklahoma, and has spent almost a decade serving rural Native communities. She began her career at the El Reno Indian Health Center, where she expanded clinical pharmacy services and led initiatives in diabetes care, tobacco cessation, and antimicrobial stewardship. Her passion for HIV, hepatitis C, and STI prevention and treatment led her to her current national role, where she provides pharmacy technical assistance and supports IHS, tribal, and urban Indian health programs across the country. She currently serves as a co-chair for the NPC Syndemic Committee.

CAPT Holly Van Lew, PharmD, BCPS, AAHIVP | Pharmacy Consultant, IHS

Captain Holly Van Lew is an advanced practice pharmacist in the Indian Health Service (IHS). She works at the local, regional, and national levels to educate pharmacists, providers, and nurses about immunizations with a focus on meeting patient vaccine needs at every encounter. She is also a subject matter expert in Syndemic work, addressing HIV, sexually transmitted diseases, and viral hepatitis, and currently co-leads the National Pharmacy Council Ad Hoc Pharmacy Syndemic Committee. She is working at IHS Headquarters as an HIV/STI/HCV and Communicable Disease Pharmacy Consultant.
