“What I value most about serving Indigenous people is the opportunity to contribute to the healing and revitalization of cultural practices that have been disrupted by historical trauma. It is deeply fulfilling to witness individuals and families reconnecting with their cultural roots and using these traditions to foster resilience, emotional regulation, and holistic wellness.”

Jacqueline Vorpahl, PhD, MA is a licensed clinical psychologist and member of Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma with more than three decades of experience advancing mental health and wellness for Indigenous communities and beyond. Drawing upon values of community, balance, and respect, she has established and led innovative behavioral health programs at the North American Indian Center of Boston, Native American Lifelines, and the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah). Collaborating with Home Base, she supports Native American Veterans and their families—finding inspiration in their resilience and unwavering commitment to healing. Grounded in cultural humility, her work is ultimately guided by a vision of hope and transformation, where each family’s well-being is honored and uplifted.
