Evolution of OUD Treatment in the Bureau of Prisons | September 16, 2025

In this presentation, CDR Draude, PharmD, BCPP, AAHIVP, focuses on the evolutions of opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment in the Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Participants will learn to describe how the First Step Act (FSA) impacted Substance Use Disorder programming throughout the BOP, discuss how access to Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) has evolved since the FSA, and determine the impact of the FSA on patient access to MOUD, outcomes, and provider education.
