Brian McMahon, MD, Hepatologist at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, shares information on the epidemiology of HCV in Alaska, explains who should be screened to detect chronic HCV infection based on recommendations from the CDC & USHSTF, discusses the barriers for persons with HCV living in rural communities to receive testing and treatment and how this could be remedied with a “one stop shopping” approach for CHAP screening and treatment with Telemedicine support from the ANTHC Liver Program.
