6th Annual emRIC Conference

April 16 @ 8:00 am - April 18 @ 5:00 pm AKDT

Staff serving indigenous and rural communities are invited to participate in a three-day gathering April 16th through April 18th, 2024 in Salt Lake City, UT (both in-person and virtual options for joining are available) to empower healthcare professionals to not only provide excellence in emergency medical care, but to do so in a manner that honors and respects the historical and cultural context of the communities they serve.

The theme of the 2024 national emRIC (Emergency Medicine with Rural and Indigenous Communities) gathering is Emerging Stronger as we hope to bring together community leaders, nurses, physicians, pharmacists, medics, residents, students, administrators, and all who are interested, to share in a collective aim to provide excellence in clinical care, leadership and operations, cultural humility, education, clinician wellness, and advocacy within our rural and Indigenous communities. CE will be provided.

As part of pre-conference sessions taking place in-person April 16th, participants will also have the opportunity to do hands-on ultrasound training, and learn new procedural skills in emergency care. We will continue with follow-up virtual ECHO clinics to continue learning, knowledge sharing and support.
