Abortion Care Access in Indigenous Communities | March 26, 2024

March 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm PDT

We invite you to join Indian Country ECHO for a Grand Rounds focused on Abortion Care in Indigenous Communities. In this presentation, ECHO faculty describe access to abortion care, including mifepristone in and outside Indian Health Service and Tribal facilities, and provide valuable resources for your learning and advocacy to promote comprehensive health care at your facility. This one-hour Grand Rounds session includes an opportunity to engage in a didactic presentation, gain insight on how I/T/U facilities may effectively integrate services into their routine care, become part of a learning community, and join an ongoing Care and Access for Pregnant People ECHO Program. CE will be available. At the end of this session, attendees will:

  • Examine abortion access in Indigenous communities within the current US abortion landscape
  • Describe key clinical aspects of abortion care
  • Consider current tribal, state, and federal contexts for abortion care
  • Employ resources for learning, advocacy, and referral to promote comprehensive health care at I/T/U facilities

To join, simply register for the 12pm PT March 26th Grand Rounds event at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GrandRoundsECHO_Registration
