In this presentation, Juli Skinner, MSW, LMSW, Ashley Lincoln, MSW, LMSW and Coleman Cox, BS, share their story of choosing to start a harm reduction program, how they started, their success, challenges and lessons learned integrating a program at Cherokee Nation. They also discuss Cherokee Nation’s Behavioral Health’s approach to services, their integrative approach to MAT service delivery, why buprenorphine is especially safe and effective, managing treatment expectations for patients and providers, the duration of treatment and additional harm reduction services offered.
