Managing Poly-SUD | June 7, 2022

In this presentation, CAPT Ted Hall, discusses the prevalence of poly-substance use disorder and practice based evidence strategies to treat and manage it. Furthermore, CAPT Hall discusses stigma and provides an introduction to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and concludes with a patient case/vignette.

CAPT Ted Hall, PharmD, BCPP

CAPT Ted Hall graduated from the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy at Wilkes University with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2002. He has served the Ho-Chunk Nation Health Department since September 2002 as a staff pharmacist and advanced to Chief Pharmacist in 2009. In 2019, he transferred billets to an Advanced Practice Pharmacist II. CAPT Hall is privileged by the Ho-Chunk Nation Medical Staff as a clinical psychiatric pharmacist non-physician medical provider under a Clinical Pharmacist Collaborative Practice Agreement for Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Disorders with diagnostic and prescriptive authority.

Ted served as the Principle IHS Lead for the US White House Office/Office of National Drug Control Policy National Heroin Task Force in 2015. He also served on the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Technical Expert Panel to develop an Evidence-Based Guidebook on Treatment of Stimulant Use in 2019. He currently is serving on the Office of the White House/Office of National Drug Control Policy Coordinating Committee, Eliminating Barriers to Treatment Sub-Committee.
