In this presentation, Amanda Reed, DO, AOBFP, AOAAM, shares the story of Muskogee Creek’s program to end the syndemic using a comprehensive approach to prevent, screen, treat, and manage HCV, HIV, SUDs, and STIs.

Amanda Reed, DO, AOBFP, AOAAM, is the Clinical Director of Addiction at Council Oak Comprehensive Health MCNDH, Hepatitis C and HIV Program at Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Health. Dr. Reed created, developed policy, oversees and is the sole clinician of the Hepatitis C and HIV treatment and prevention program for the MCNDH. She provides treatment for addiction and alcohol use disorder with Medications for Addiction Treatment and integrated care. Dr Reed provides gender affirming and sensitive care for LGBTQ2+ patients and serves as a member of the Oklahoma HIV and Hepatitis Planning Council , the Oklahoma Tribal HIV Taskforce and the Oklahoma Hepatitis C Elimination Council. She is a proud Cherokee Woman and interested in work in the field of Addiction Medicine, HIV, and diversity and inclusion with a focus on on minorities and the LGBTQ2+ community.
