In this presentation, Dr. Natalie Holt, Chief Medical Officer at the Great Plains Area Indian Health Service, welcomes participants to the 2023 Great Plains emRIC Gathering.

Natalie Holt, MD

Natalie Holt, MD, joined the Great Plains Area Indian Health Service in May 2019 and has been the Chief Medical Officer since March 2022. Prior to that, she was a staff anesthesiologist and Medical Director of the Ambulatory Procedures Unit at the Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT. In addition to her work with the Indian Health Service, she is also a Field Surveyor for The Joint Commission. Dr. Holt is an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Anesthesiology at the Yale School of Medicine and remains active in medical education. She serves as an editor and contributor to several textbooks of clinical anesthesiology as well as a section editor for the online medical resource UpToDate. Dr. Holt received her medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine and a Masters of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is board certified in Anesthesiology and General Preventive Medicine.
