In this presentation, Alicia Edwards MPH, discusses the campaigns and the associated resources in regards to syphilis.  Syphilis is on the rise nationwide, and Indian Country is deeply impacted. With the highest primary and secondary syphilis rates and an 800% uptick in congenital syphilis cases among American Indian and Alaska Native people, it is vital that we act now. To create awareness and encourage people to get tested and treated, The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board created a national campaign to stop syphilis: www.stopsyphilis.org. The campaign offers colorful handouts, posters, eye-catching posts to share on social media, and short educational videos.
