Minimally Invasive Dentistry: Hall Crowns | January 10, 2024

Date of Presentation: January 10, 2024

In this series of presentations, Taylor Wilkens, DDS, Dental Director at the Marimn Dental Clinic, provides an example of minimally invasive dentistry in action through hall crown case presentations. Then, Dr. Sean Kelly, DDS, MSHS, reviews principles and content from the article Hall Technique for Carious Primary Molars: A Review of the Literature including an overview of Hall Crowns, the technique, timing, indications and contraindications, the advantages and concerns, comparison to traditional crown preparation and other approaches, as well as a review of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF).

The one-hour Oral Health ECHO virtual clinics offer clinicians an opportunity to present cases, receive recommendations from peers and an interprofessional team of specialists working in Indian Country, engage in a didactic presentation, obtain CDE, and become part of a learning community. Together, we will manage patient cases so that every patient gets the care they need.
