Did you know: That advances in treatment mean that HIV can be treated like a chronic disease?  That there’s a one-pill-a-day medication that’s more than 99% effective in preventing sexual transmission of HIV?  That people living with HIV who achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load-the amount of HIV in the blood-by taking and adhering to antiretroviral therapy-can’t sexually transmit the virus to others? That early diagnosis and treatment of HIV can let people with HIV live a full life and prevent new HIV infections from occurring? This session will have a refresher on transmission and recently approved treatment options.
